Running OS X 10.5 from a clean install, newest version of iTunes, iMac 17" 2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM.
When attempting to add my 12,000 song music collection, iTunes does not add about 2000 of them. There doesn't seem to be any reason for the songs not adding. When navigated to the songs in Finder and opening with iTunes, the songs that aren't able to be added cannot seem to be played by iTunes. VLC, Quicktime, and Songbird are all able to play the songs fine. I have tried a full clean install of iTunes (including deleting Prefernces, etc.). I have checked the permissions in my Music folder, and iTunes still refuses to add or play these songs. The songs are not DRM'ed, and they are all normal mp3 files. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
