I've tried all the troubleshooting mentioned on apple support as well as here, but nothing seems to work!!! I have reset the iPhone, restarted my machine, re-installed iTunes, but nothing!!!

Please help! I'm running the latest iTunes on 10.4.11 and the iPhone is at the original 1.0 firmware.
