It depends on the type of jailbreak you used to have. There must be instructions online.

Jailbreak or no jailbreak, a DFU restore will work assuming no hardware issues and that the user has a current iTunes install.

That is, no matter the jailbreak it is irrelevant to a DFU restore.

So, any issues the OP is experiencing are due to either a hardware issue or not having a current version of iTunes.

Note that a current version of iTunes may require an updated PC or Mac. Generally, that combination of not having a Mac or PC that can run the current version of iTunes and therefore no current version of iTunes is usually the problem.

Although I’m not into jail breaking since years but I thought recently some people were having issues with restoring due to complications related to jail break.

Simply restoring, perhaps. DFU upgrade and restore? I haven't heard of any issues regarding that simply because you are dealing directly with the firmware.

However, I could always be wrong. It's still early with the new late firmware jailbreaks.

Ah yes, that’s what I mean. The OP mentioned that they tried to restore and got stuck in the boot up loop, which seems to happen with some specific jail breaks if one didn’t try to DFU restore and it seems once stuck in that loop people couldn’t get into DFU mode as well.

Although you’re the jail break master, so you probably know about this more. I haven’t jail broken any of my devices since iPhone 4S days.

Uhh…I wouldn't go that far (jailbreak master). I know quite enough to get myself into serious trouble and not nearly enough to get out of it. ;)
