Hi,
I've installed iTunes on 2 PCs. The 'library' and all playlists were created and exist on the first PC. I recently acquired a laptop. I installed iTunes on it and purchased a number of songs. I have a playlist on the iPod that was created on the first PC. I'd like to add the newly purchased songs to this playlist. The playlist is not visible on the laptop from the iPod. Is this possible or does a playlist have to reside and be updated on only one computer?

Thanks!

If you set your iPod to be manually managed, you can change it from any machine running iTunes. It effectively makes the iPod its own library, meaning you can add, delete, change music and playlists to your heart's content. :)

How do you set the iPod to manual update?

How do you set to 'manual'?

Thanks!

You do it through iTunes. Click on your iPod and under the Songs title (from memory), there's the option to have it auto-update, auto-update certain playlists or manually update. :)
