Resolved iTunes on a crappy dell laptop wants me to set up my iPhone as new

Will it erase everything? I do not want to have to reset up my iPhone4S. I have never synced this iPhone( originally my moms but the CCS let us transfer it to me then she got a new iPhone4S) with my crappy dell laptop. I want a MacBook Air by spring 2014!

I guess your problem has more to do with crappy iTunes than with your notebook.
