iTunes on NAS

So I have my entire iTunes library on a mybook live connected to my AirPort Extreme. Everything works just fine except when I update any apps they automatically download to my local MBA hard drive. I can't figure out why apps and only apps do this. Music and movies save to the NAS but apps refuse to update there. Can anyone help me out?
