Itunes on windows crashes PC

Ive had this problem on both itunes 7 and itunes 8. It only happens when itunes is running and happens at random times. When this happens it locks up everything and I am forced to restart. This is a recent issue(a month and a half or so). Anyone have an idea?


Also It has happened four times while synching my 5G ipod. Once today while converting a mp3.

A complete uninstall and reinstall tends to cure some issues. If you haven't tried it, try it. Also - codec packs and other stuff which fiddles around with media on your system can occasionally lead to instability of iTunes.
