Hi all,

I'm looking for a little advice after much testing alone.

Im looking to change the way my partner and I share music due to some differing tastes.

Is it possible to have one folder of music on the Shared folder, but then us both to important different things from it to our own iTunes on our own Mac accounts? So basically, we can both reference one folder to see what we want but being picky about what we import without duplicating some items.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Aimee

Easy. Just drop into iTunes what songs you wish to add. Only those songs will be added to your library.

If you wish to avoid iTunes duplicating the files, first go to iTunes preferences take out the checkmarks under "copy files" and "keep organized". That way, iTunes simply adds the files as is in your library instead of creating a dedicated iTunes library.

Then drag and drop away... :)

Amazing, thank you.

For some reason, I think I was overcomplicating it.
