iTunes only plays 3 albums on my mac!

So about 3 weeks ago my iTines on my Macbook Pro only wants to play songs from 3 different albums. I have about 6 gigs of music in my itunes music library, and all of the songs show up and play individualy, but if you skip to the next song, or shuffle the library, only 3 specific albums will play. When all of the songs off of these 3 albums are over, iTunes stops playing. Ive checked to make sure that the library is linked to the appropriate folders on my mac and everything seems to be ok. this is driving me nuts, so any suggestions would be welcomed.
