iTunes Option? (Sub-Organizing)

Is there an option to, for ex., organize by artists and by year (a sub-category to organize... i don't know the exact wordage )

you could possibly fiddle around with the arrows at the top and the order in which you press the buttons. I have often wondered this myself though.

Really, the way to do this is with playlists or smart playlists.

I've heard of people who have playlists inside of playlists (i.e. sub-playlists), and I've even seen screen shots of them in action, but I've never been able to get it work for me (iTunes 7.0 and later).
