iTunes or Safari? Automatic stream

Anytime im on a site like soundclick.com or a music streaming website, safari always downloads the stream m3u file to the desktop...instead...i want it to automatically stream the file in itunes- i know it's possible because it automatically streams it on my roommates powerbook. We both have identical powerbooks, he has no idea how he got it do it. So I came here. Hehe, any help is appreciated.

Are you meaning stream it as in using iTunes Music Sharing?

Coz first it has to be imported into iTunes then go to Prefs and then to Sharing and switch it on

Select the file on the Desktop by clicking it once. From the File menu, select Get Info. In the Info window, click the triangle next to "Open with:" to expand that section of the window. From the pull-down menu that appears, select iTunes.

Then next time you click on that link, see if iTunes opens it automatically and starts the stream.

Also, in iTunes-prefs , there is an option to 'set' iTunes for internet playback. I guess you can turn that on too.
