Hi all. I just opened iTunes, and was greeted by this error:

I have just booted my Mac mini from the 10.5.6 DVD, and reset the password & ACL etc. I then did a perms repair in DU - what gives?!. I really REALLY *don't* want to have to go through re-installing everything - I created a new account, moved my ~/ across to another location, deleted my old account, and moved my data into the new account, MANUALLY, due to .plist corruption causing Front Row errors. The reason was, that I don't have any other drives to which I could have backed up ~/ and migrated it back in, afterwards.

Thanks

I had a similar problem recently. Turns out I'd accidentally changed the permissions on my iTunes Music folder to read only when I set it to share. Go to ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music and open up Get Info. The permissions for your username should be Read and Write. If they're not, change them. If they are, try going up one folder at a time and doing the same. That should solve your problem.

Note that you have to click the lock to be able to change the permissions.
