I may be a moron and didn't see any other threads, but there's a lot of discussion in the Apple support forums about issues downloading plus music.

I personally have the issue where iTunes locks up after downloading a Plus file and before it either deletes or moves the older protected .m4p file. Happens with every download. Both files are in the music folder, but the new file isnt' in the library in iTunes itself.

i have the same problem. do you, by chance, have your itunes folder on a second drive? or maybe just in a different location than the default? i've always had the feeling that that is what is causing it for me. whenever i do an iTunes Plus upgrade, i've had to force quit, import the Plus file and get rid of the old file manually.

it sucks.. i hope they fix whatever actually is causing it.

Nope, it's in my directory in the std. spot. I double-checked because at one point in the past I had it out on the shared folder. When I migrated to my new iMac I must have put it in the std. spot.
