iTunes podcasts not downloading (err = -3259)

I can't seem to download any podcasts. I have a queue of about 15 of them and they never start downloading. Every time I press Resume All the just sit there for a while then they eventually all say "stopped (err= -3259)".

Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

I still haven't found out what's causing this error but I did accidentally find a work around for it. If I have Hotspot Shield running then the podcasts download fine, otherwise they still refuse to download, resulting in the same old error message as noted above.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem without having Hotspot Shield running.

(Hotspot Shield allows me to use Hulu - I live in Canada. I think it changes my IP address or at least tricks Hulu into thinking that is from the US)
