I am running El Capitan and the latest version of iTunes. I am signed into iTunes using my Apple ID and this computer (MBP) is the only device associated and being used for my iTunes account.
Under the iTunes settings, I have the option "Sync podcast subscriptions and settings" ENABLED. That means that if I make a change, for example unsubscribe to a particular podcast and delete it from my list of podcasts, it should not reappear when I restart iTunes. But, that is not what happens. In a fit of frustration, I selected all of my podcast subscriptions, unsubscribed to them all, and deleted them all. At this point, there were no podcasts showing. However, when I shut down and reopen iTunes, the Podcast screen is repopulated with all the podcasts I JUST unsubscribed to and deleted.
What is going on? Why isn't the iTunes server (I'm assuming it stores my playback, subscription, and sync settings) saving the fact that I want to unsubscribe from and not have the podcast show up on the list.
PS: I do not download the episodes, and do not have "auto-download" enabled. I just stream the latest episored.
