After updating to 12.6.1, I was greeted to a blank iTunes library after iTunes Library.itl apparently couldn't be read. Because I needed data like the date last added for my music, I copied an older library.xml file from my Time Machine backup and all seemed hunky dory... until I plugged in my iPad.
Now when I try to sync my iPad, it gets all the way to the Preparing to Copy step and it just sits there and never progresses. I've left it at that stage for 30 minutes and there is still no indication of anything going on. Has anyone had this happen before and if so, what can be done to fix it? I would really prefer not to restore my iPad or wipe out my iTunes library.
