Literally a minute ago previews on my iPhone started playing at 30 seconds vs the new 90-second preview format Apple pushed on labels a few months back. Reverting back or temporary glitch? I did find the 90-second previews made it easier to listen to songs on iTunes then decide whether to add it on Rdio etc so maybe it didn't have the sales effect labels were looking for. In fact, Apple probably noticed an increase in people listening to samples without a correlative sales bump.

This is especially apparent on Ariana Grande's top 100 singles, Ed Sheeran's "Sing," and numerous other songs although I'm trying to figure out whether only certain labels have 30-second previews now or if it was a universal change.
The preview length appears to have only been reduced on certain songs that previously had 90-second previews. I.e. "Wasted" by Tiesto is still 90 seconds. Meanwhile, Coldplay reverted from 90-seconds to 30 seconds on their latest album. Actually -- Coldplay's entire discography seems to have reverted back.
