itunes problem jailbreaking?

i created my custom firmware using PwnageTool but when I try to restore my iPod using that firmware iTunes wont let me. I know they had a problem in iTunes 8, but I thought that was fixed...

also, can I take my iPod out of recovery mode without restoring? I tried the turn off then turn on and hold Home button down trick but it doesnt work with 2.1 apparently

just use quickpwn.

it's a lot easier. and just works better.

and there are no problems with iTunes 8
