itunes problem subscribing to podcasts in yosemite

I'm using iTunes 12.0.0.117 on yosemite public beta 3 and i notice when i try to subscribe to a new podcast i get the following error:

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1004). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."

I can however still download episodes but like you would when you don't subscribe.

is this common with yosemite/itunes 12? (i don't subscribe to many new podcasts so I'm not sure when it started)
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas on how it fix this please let me know
