iPod touch iTunes problem with adding a playlist

I'm trying to add a playlist to my ipod that has songs from another computer on it, itunes wont let me simply drag the playlist ive created onto my ipod. it doesnt even begin to drag the playlist anywhere, same thing with the songs. did a search and all i could find was make sure manually manage music is on, which it is. any tips would be appreciated. thanks
