iTunes problem with new AIM 6.5

so some reason itunes and the new version of AIM dont like each other (itunes just dosent play, the progress bar dosent move and theres no sound) on my GFs vista laptop (yes i know its vista im trying to get her to get a macbook but she likes her laptop)

any ideas?
