OK.. so this is either a simple question or a feature request for a later version of iTunes.. not sure which..

Ya know how alot of times an artists "Greatest Hits" are usually just sings from previous CD's.. well, in times like that is there a way to 'flag' the songs from the original CD as being on the greatest hits and not needing to have dupicates?

This make sense or did I confuse everyone else along w/ myself?

But why would you want the same song twice?

You can always put in the song name something to differentiate them.

Like:

Girls of Summer (original) and

Girls of Summer

I usually can remember which songs I already have. After I finish importing a CD with a duplicate track, I just delete it.

I like this idea though, could become a useful feature for a future release, selection which songs to import. Although it just came to mind you can just drag and drop which songs to enter (select for bulk)

I don't want duplicates.. I want to flag a song on the regular CD so that I can know its also on the Greatest Hits...
