I have my MacBook Pro set up with a Boot Camp partition for Windows now what I'm wondering is can I install iTunes onto Windows and direct it to the iTunes library on the OS X partition but not have it manage or move anything. I just want iTunes on Windows to have access to the music really for playback. I'd like to avoid having to have my iTunes library on both partitions.

Any help or advice will be much appreciated :)

yes, that should be possible. You'll have to install a utility to enable your Windows partition to read HFS+ formatted disks (I got one for free from Paragon software I think), but once you do that just set up your Windows iTunes to not manage files and point it to your mac iTunes Music folder.

Thanks for your help I now have it set up and working just as I wanted :)
