I have a friend who gave his daughters a couple touches for Christmas.

Then found that, on neither of his Windows computers could iTunes be installed. I tried, and the setup program would flash and go away.

Tried some troubleshooting, failed.

Anyway, they activated them via WiFi.

The question I have is that, if I give them a computer with iTunes already installed, what happens with any data on the iPod's if I partner them with the computer? This way, they can start syncing music from their CD collection.

Thanks,

it should still be in the cloud

since they originally used the cloud to start up. However if there is content under you account on itunes it won't allow them to merge. They will have to sign in under their account and then the cloud will synch to itunes under their account name

Thanks. I was wondering about things such as possibly email data. Programs can be redownloaded as necessary.
