iTunes question

So i currently have my itunes media on an external nas and wanted to do a clean install on my mbp with a new ssd. Can i simply do a clean install, install itunes, and then point the media library to the nas?

Yes as long as you don't erase the NAS hosting the iTunes Media Library.

You should be able to copy your Music folder on the old HD to the SSD. I make sure the old and new itunes are the same version and have never had any problem, including when i upgraded to 10.7.

Just to be clear, OP, this here is the important part.

If you don't do this you'll still have your media but will lose all your playlists, star ratings, and play counts.

So make sure you get the iTunes folder out of your user account's 'Music' folder!
