Itunes question

Hi,

I recently added a bunch of music to my "itunes media" folder expecting it to automatically update my library. It seems as if I was wrong. Is there anyway to do this? Or will I have to open all the new music in itunes?

Also, can I edit the information (artist/album etc) in that media folder? Or again does that have to be done in the itunes program itself?

Move your songs to iTunes, don't touch the folders. And yes, song infos should be edited in iTunes.

Go into the iTunes menu and select add to library function and then select the music to be added and it should show up.
