iTunes Question

After loading each new revision of iTunes, the next time I sync my iPad or iPhone, the iTunes library feels the need to reinstall everything again on the device. My wife and I have an iPhone and iPad each, so this is very annoying when you have 10K+ songs...

Is this a setting that needs changed, or does anyone have any input?

that is definitely odd behaviour. Through many interations of itunes, my iPod never gets confused.

Is the software for both the devices updated? Plug in each iDevice and go to that device in itunes. From there, click the software update button in the right screen where it shows the device. Also, are both your devices connected to your itunes account?
