itunes questions - deleting and song order

How do you delete a songs in 12.1?

click lower left corner of pad and delete is no longer an option.
its grayed out in the edit menu!
can NOT just slide the song to the left as is shown on some web pages.


whats with the recently played list -
apparently songs can NOT be listed in the order they were played anymore?
if so how???

This is because you try to delete a song from a playlist.

Press the Alt key (a "+" sign shows up) then delete from right click or Edition menu.
