Couple of iTunes related things in Leopard that have been spotted:
- The album art screensaver now can use album art downloaded automatically from the iTunes Store. This has been broken in Tiger ever since iTunes added the album art download feature.
- According to Hydrogenaudio, the AAC encoder has seen significant sound quality improvements and offers more modes including a true VBR mode.
- Any AAC files encoded by iTunes in Leopard with the VBR setting checked now show the real bitrate (instead of saying 256kbps all the time, it will fluctuate depending on the song).
- Apparently there is now a developer SDK for getting FLAC installed.
