Hi,
quick question about itunes, thanks in advance,
I am going to reinstall the os and want to know if there is someway to save the ratings of the podcasts and songs and a way to save the library so taht I know which podcasts I have seen and which not?

I'm not 100%, but if you export your library, doesn't it save all the information about an item, including its play count etc...?

All your data is kept inside your iTunes folder. If you choose the archive and install option, you can just drop your old iTunes folder back into the new user/system (provided you got the same iTunes version that made that iTunes folder).
