itunes recovery

I got a call from my sister that her entire itunes library is gone. She suspects one of her kids deleted them. Did iTunes place them in the trash like on the Mac? What other folders might I look in?

Is this a Windows system or a Mac system?

Have her open her Music folder using the Finder (or Explorer on a Windows machine) and see if the files are there. If not, then have her check her Trash (or Recycle Bin).
