Hi everyone.

I have a Mac Pro 3.1, fitted with 2 hard drives. My main hard drive has Mavericks 10.9.5, and this has my iTunes library set up correctly, exactly as I want it. I have around 5000 songs, divided into 4 playlists. The songs are mostly ripped from my CD collection, with about 100 songs purchased from the iTunes store.

When I boot into my spare drive (with El Capitan 10.11), I go to iTunes>preferences>advanced, and reset the iTunes media folder location as my Mavericks "correct" iTunes collection, and it should reference the whole iTunes folder on that Mavericks drive. Instead, when I launch iTunes, it will show most of my collection, but not all. I have noticed that most, if not all, the missing songs are songs that I have ripped / purchased most recently, like in the last 2 months or so.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this, I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks.

Never mind. I solved it. I needed to copy the the iTunes Library.itl file over from the Mavericks to the El Capitan drive. All good now.
