iPod touch iTunes Remote 2.0 App

Apple states on their webpage:

And if your Mac is sleeping, Remote wakes it up so you can access all your digital media on iTunes.

How is this done? I'm on my network with my Mac sleeping and I can't figure out how to wake it. The Apple support pages doesn't seems to help too much...
