I have my iTunes library on my main home machine (iMac), and a copy of it on my Macbook. I recently re-ripped all of my music at 256k VBR, after upgrading to the 32gb iPhone 3GS. In order to move the revised library of music over to my Macbook, I backed up the entire library via DVD-R's and then restored it on the Macbook. Before doing so (and maybe this was a mistake), I deleted all the existing playlists on the Macbook, assuming they'd come back via the restore. Well, they're back, but now under a "restored playlists" tab, while I have no "original" playlists.
Is there some easy way to move these back to being "the" playlists, rather than "restored" ones? Is there a better way to do this, should I ever want to do the same thing in the future? Thanks.
