Hi all,
Well, iTunes gave me the 'ole "Your device is corrupted and iTunes cannot read it" (or whatever it said) message on my 4th gen iPad (dock connector version, not lightning connector), so I copied all of my photos to my computer and went to restore from the last backup after trying everything I could think of (except for one thing that I might try). I even tried syncing thru the WiFi sync - and still no luck. However, there is only an option for a factory reset - there's no option to restore from a backup. Isn't that kinda what backups are for (LOL)? I will add - the iPad works just fined and dandy otherwise.
I even tried updating iTunes and updating the iPad to iOS 7, but that wouldn't work. I also tried opening up the latest iTunes installer and repairing it because it did always give me some kind of unrelated error message, but it still wouldn't work. That error message was something about the CD burning registry keys being corrupt or something like that, and it came up every time I loaded iTunes.
I'm afraid that if I do a factory reset, I won't be able to restore from the backup. Could I restore from it after factory resetting, or is it possible to somehow restore from a backup WITHOUT doing a factory reset?
Thanks,
Gavin
