I know a bit of what I'm talking about, so please bear with me.

I have a jailbroken 2nd Gen iPhone 3G. I tried to follow these instructions to be able to transfer ipa files onto it: http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/2008/08/04/how-to-add-ipa-apps-to-your-iphone/

However, when I did this, the phone froze and was stuck with the Apple logo on start up. Luckily the phone was technically still on and working so I was able to use WinSCP to undo the changes I made.

Stupidly, I tried to do it again and the same thing happened. However, in changing everything back I seem to have mislaid the original Mobileinstallation file. Now, while the phone is working correctly, iTunes will not recognise it.

I just re-ran the 2.2 jailbreak firmware, but that didn't fix it.

Can someone either tell me where i can get the original Mobileinstallation file or offer some other advice to be able to synch.

Cheers all
