Itunes shared on TC

I have just finished up combining all of my itunes libraries onto 1 external drive and placed that drive on my TC. I can see the drive on my network and have mapped all the systems to the new location. what I want to do is have the ability to log into the home network while at work or another location and download a tv show or movie when I want. open to any and all suggestions?

We'll are you connected by at least CAT5E or better network? Are you using the new Airport Extreme using AC wireless? I ask these questions because steaming High Def videos you need a really speedy network!

To be honest not really wanting to stream anything most log in and download. I do have some CAT5E but most of the house is wireless and where the external drive is connected it wireless to the hub.

again goal is to not stream but simple log in and download.
