The sharing feature is one of my favorites in iTunes. But how come I only connect to some of the other macs online on our network? It seems completely random which ones show up and which ones are ignored.

The only explenation I can think of is that people have to be online when you log on, but it doesn't seem to be true... Is there some way to search for more libraries later?

itunes displays only those that are on the subnet. you'll only see those that want to share their music.

I know that... but I still don't see all of them. The net I'm on covers all of my school, and there's a lot of people w iBooks and PBs. Often I'll see people sitting in the other end of the building, but not the person right next me!?

The max number I ever saw was 5 or 6, and there must be at least 40 macs online every day here... not all of them w iTunes open off course, but still...
