So here's the set-up:
Cable-->wired router downstairs-->roommates iTunes
Cable-->wired router downstairs-->Airport Express-->laptop-->ethernet-->my desktop
On the laptop, I have internet sharing enabled, so I can get the internet from my desktop, and I can connect to the laptop as a network drive. Also, the laptop runs iTunes and can see the roommates iTunes, but the internet sharing distibutes IP addresses so instead of being 192.168.0.x like the rest of the house, my desktop gets the IP 192.168.2.x and therefore cannot iTunes interface with the rest of the house.
Certainly there is a way that my roommates and I can share iTunes libraries.
