iTunes shortcuts not working in shuffle?

Quite bizarrely, in iTunes 10, shortcuts to skip next song (command - right arrow) or adjust volume (command - down arrow/up arrow) don't appear to work in shuffle (iTunes DJ). The shortcuts work fine in every other playlist other than iTunes DJ.

Has anyone else found this?

I had a similar type of problem but with shuffling one and only one of my playlists. All the others shuffled w/o problems. I copied all of the songs in the playlist, created a new playlist and pasted the songs in there and viola shuffling worked. The original playlist must have gotten corrupted. maybe that's happened with you. You may have to backup all of your songs and reinstall iTunes 10. Not sure this will work, but that's my 2 cents worth.

It seems strange that it happened to iTunes DJ though, a standard iTunes feature and not any user-created playlists.
