So we run this iPod during service at a restaurant, so it plays for roughly 5 hours nightly. Lately, and randomly it has been skipping during songs, like as corrupted file or a damaged cd. We just uploaded the newest iTunes today, and it is still doing it. Any ideas as to why??? Thanks in advance.

Skipping, as in it stops playing in the middle of the song and goes to the next song? If so, I had this problem once before with my old iPhone 4. I just deleted any affected songs and re-synced them from iTunes.

"We just uploaded the newest iTunes today."

What does this mean? iTunes doesn't actually run in any iOS device. I'm asking this not to sound snarky, but to get an understanding of what you have done. Did you add new music to the iPod? Is the iPod streaming from iTunes on another computer?

No problem, I get it! We downloaded the latest iTunes to the computer we attach the iPod to. Then we did a software update to the iPod.
