Hi I love the way iTunes tells me how many times I've listen to a song but what I was wondering is does iTunes and my iPhone work together to do this? For example if I listen to a song 5 times on my iPhone the next time I sync my phone in iTunes will it add 5 listens to that song in iTunes?

Yes, and if you listen to the same song twice on your computer with itunes before the sync the song will have a total of 7 added to it's playcount.

Yes I have tried it myself. Handy to know for creating smartplaylists.

I've never found a way to check play count on my iDevices but I do love the feature. In fact I've gotten kind of addicted to maintaining perfect play counts, just to see what I play the most.

What I'd really like to see is the ability to add "times played recently" to a smart playlist. For instance to see all the songs I've played 3+ times in the past week.

Nice Idea and they should allow you to set the days from 1-31 so it covers a full Calender month. This way if you want to know what you've listened to most over the last 10 days for example this will tell you
