iTunes songs skipping :confused:

my itunes mp3s sometimes skip...i'd put it down to the fact that i'm working but i've normally got 750Mb - 1Gb of RAM idling so i doubt it can be that.

it's not tiny skips, they get stuck in a loop and get really loud. has anyone had this before? and if so, do you just put up with it or is there a way to get rid of it? (it was like this on 10.4.3 and 10.4.4)

Is it skipping in the same place on certain songs every time or is it always random? I have skipping on digital music that i've ripped from cds that are heavily damaged, this is the only time I've encountered something like that.

is it the same song or all different songs? Does the rest of your system seem choppy or just iTunes songs? Sounds maybe try reinstalling iTunes and try playing your mp3s through another audio player and see if they still skip.
