Wondering if you guys could help me with something.

I've been having somewhat of a nightmare time trying to fix this issue. As you can see from the picture, my iTunes sorting is feeling a bit rebellious today.

i made sure that all fields were identical for each album, artist name, no album artist, correct album name, no grouping/composer/comments/genre. none of the sorting options filled in and "part of compilation" checked off.

but yet, i still have some songs that show up above the "album line"

any help on whats going on?

(the problem can be seen on the second, third, and fourth album)

Try selecting all from one album, change the album name to "Narrow Stairs 1" or something. They should all group together again, and then change it back to "Narrow Stairs".

Take hollerz' advice and if that does not solve it, take the voodoo approach: select all the songs of the album, check "part of compilation" and uncheck it again. Strangely enough this worked for me many times.
