itunes store error

I just downloaded itunes on my job computer. It will not connect to the itunes store the error says...

"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error occurred. (-3212). Make sure your network connection is available and try again."

Obviously i have internet if im posting this. Any help?

and we have a router at work. it says that is the problem. but at home i dont have a problem with that?
