I've only downloaded one song directly from my iPhone (pre 2.0 software w/App Store). It was pretty simple, and I had no issues.

But just recently, I thought of a song I wanted to download, so I pulled out my phone, and clicked on the iTunes Store app, which began to open. But as it was opening, it went to the App Store. I tried looking for songs, but it only searched apps.

Is something wrong? Does everyone have this issue?

Virus

It's an iPhone virus, EVERYBODY PANIC.

Seriously, you pressed the wrong button.

open itunes on your computer and make sure its set to the right country, i had this issue when i switched to another country on the itunes store to check on something while my phone was syncing, when i was done and started using the phone i had the same issue for some odd reason until i synced my phone back again and corrected the itunes store country to the united states where i am.

if this does not help, then your issues beats me...:)

Thanks for the obvious everyone, but that's not the case. While it's loading, it looks like it's going to open the iTunes store, but then it like changes apps (like when you hit a YouTube link in safari).

Any other ideas?

Start with the first one and go on from there.
  1. Reboot
  2. Back up your info and restore the phone
  3. Go to the :apple: store and see a Genius
