Got the phone, jumped through all the activation hoops until (I think) the last screen. Click to submit... and the iTunes Sore is busy...

15 minutes now -- this is killing me.

Steve

Mine got stuck for 15 minutes, then went through -- I think it was after I put my address in. On that small sample of '1 person', I guess I'd advocate patience. :)

I got a ''02 need more time to review your application for iPhone service. This may be due to information received from the credit check company. 02 will contact you within 24 hours. '' pooh.

Mine has been busy for well over 30 mins now. At the start I rang O2 and they helpfully told me to wait for a few hours.

I love the way that O2 now have my money and I have an expensive paper weight.

Who did you call, O2 or Apple? I suppose it's an Apple problem, as it says the store is busy...

Did they already know that there was a problem?

Steve

i found that if i left my iphone plugged in , but then closed and re-opened itunes it got past the "busy" page

I've tried closing it by pressing the red cross and reopening, no joy. I've also fully quit out and relaunched iTunes but this sends you back to the start and eventually to the server busy stage.

Close and re-open and re-connect your iPhone. It'll activate in a few minutes. It's GREAT!. :)

The people having 'server busy' messages, are you all existing o2 customers transferring your number to the iPhone?

If I close and reopen iTunes then I simply get sent back to the start of the procedure with the same outcome.
