Since about an hour or so I have been unable to load iTunes Store > My account .. or buy an app from the iPhone4, it just says "waiting" on Angry Birds Rio, and never continues.

It either complaints the pass is incorrect, or that there were connectivity problems.

Is it just me?

I'm in Belgium and have the same problem
Both on Wifi and 3G with my Belgian account

My US account works fine on the same networks.

Contacted Apple. Keep you posted
 
Same problem here. I'm also in Belgium.

I hope this will be resolved soon...

Edit: Cancel that, it's fixed now. I had this problem for several hours, but it seems in the time it took me to create an account here, they solved the problem. Maybe the solution was to post something on the MacRumors forums :)

I was having the same problems but I figured it out.

There was an update to the iphone 4 (4.03 I believe) and Itunes was not recognizing it so you need to run a software update for your computer where the itunes upgrade will now recognize the software update in your iphone. Mine now works like a charm.

That is certainly not it. You don't need to have an iOS device to access the iTunes Store Account. It won't work from iTunes, iOS device, or their public web site.

The problem however, has been resolved in the mean time.

I really appreciate everybody their feedback! Glad to hear it wasn't just me.
