Hi,

I couldn't find anyplace else to post this, so sorry if it is in the wrong forum.

When the STAR WARS: CLONE WARS movie was released, I bought it from the the iTunes Store (U.S.). It was only in standard definition at the time.

The other day I checked to see if it had been upgraded to HD, but it it is no longer available.

By coincidence I was also planning to buy SHERLOCK HOLMES (2009) - the Guy Ritchie one - in HD but that too is not for sale (or even rent) in either definition. And I was positive that it was available several months ago (and with iTunes Extras).

Both these movies are available (albeit in SD) on other iTunes Stores like the UK and Ireland.

Does anybody knew why this might be? They are both Warner Bros., so is this something to do with it?

I've already e-mail iTunes Store support but the rep mistook my enquiry as a complaint of a missing purchase. I'm still waiting to here back.

Regards.

I think the same is true of Avatar. I'm sure it was available at one time in iTunes. Not now. Some sort of licensing agreement, I'm sure.

And how much does iTunes customer service suck? I hate dealing with them. I have never had a response from them faster than 24 hours. Ridiculous.

I figured it was Warner Brothers doing, and not iTunes. Typical.

iTunes is a great service for music and TV Show (though why AMC have released THE PRISONER and THE WALKING DEAD without 5.1 I do not understand), but in regards to movies is really hindered by the studios as far as buying movies goes.

As to Apple customer services - they are good. Always helpful and fast as far as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps I just didn't explain myself very well.
