I live in Ontario Canada and when I purchase music on itunes it comes to the price it says and there is no taxes but when I purchase an app for my ipod I get charged HST (Harmonized sales tax). My question is why am I getting charged taxes on certain downloads and not others?

Obviously, your province taxes software downloads but not music downloads. My state, New York, does the opposite.
